Room Sevens Softball Game

Softball Lesson with Mrs Tofa

In the morning we went  into class and we were waiting to have some swimming and the bad news was that we could not go swimming because the pool did not have any chlorine inside the pool. So Mrs Tofa told us we could have our own softball lesson with her we all felt excited because it was our very first class PE lesson with our teacher.

Our sport monitors set up our field and bases.
We were all split up into our own teams of 1 and 2. Group 2 was  fielding and group 1 was batting Lindakiki batted the ball but Fusi caught it and Darshan was out. Next it was Angalica batting but she got out.

It was all up to the last person who was Mami and he batted the ball. Bang! a thundering noise from the bat. He ran and  one of team 1 group chucked the ball to base one and Mami got out.  It was time to swap over and now my group and I were the fielders and group 2 was batting. I was at base one and i got most of team 2 out and Darshan was our team's picture.

Darshan and I got  everyone out so we could swap over. Darshan hit the ball bang! a loud noise from the bat vroom Darshan was off speeding base to base and Darshan got a home run. Next it was my turn and I hit the bat far away vroom. I ran as fast as i could and then i got a home run we were winning. Then we had to swap over because the other team got most of us out

It was teams 2 turn to bat then the game would be over and i knew we would win after I got all them out and I did. Then it was time to go to class before it was morning tea.

My Reflections on Netbooks

Hi, My name is Fraser I am a year 5 student at Glenbrae School and I am in Room 9. My Teacher is Mr. D. Nath.

This year was an exciting year for me because I started using a Chromebook as soon as I was in the classroom. I was fascinated by the thought of doing so many cool things on my Chromebook but it took me a long time to really start using it effectively. There were so many things to learn and I tried my best to learn as much as I could from my teacher, Whanau and friends.

These are my reflections on the use of my Chromebook this year.

The things that learnt from my Teacher was how to use the netbook, how to use the internet safely, how to access the class site and how to blog. The things that I learnt by myself was how to type faster, the keyboard shortcuts and knowing what sites I need to go on and sites I am not allowed to go on. I have learnt how to take screenshots and how to change my password. The things I have learnt from people out of school is how to access shortcuts to sites and how to bookmark sites.

I  am able to think about the topics I am going to research on and write questions about it using google docs and sharing my work on the blog. I read more online books, stories and articles while looking for information, deciding which sites are safe for me to access and use information from, sharing my learning on my blog and class blog.

On Wednesday Glenbrae school  went to the Manaiakalani film festival. We went on a gigantic bus to the film festival.

When we arrived we walked inside of Sylvia Park and there were lots of shops. We saw a phone shop, laptop shop and a chocolate shop. We walked up the escalator to the Hoyts Cinema. When we walked inside we saw  pictures of our Glenbrae school films.

We sat on some comfortable chairs. We relaxed and started watching the movies. My favorite one was room 10’s and room 2’s film’s from Glenbrae school. It took a long time until the films were finished.

My Story Review By Fraser

Giving it a shot
WALT:We are learning to write a story Review
by David Tulloch

This story is about a girl named Lauren. She is lazy because all she does is sit down on her couch and start eating biscuits. Lauren  represented her school by taking part in Shot Put. She beat all her friends and even the older students at her school.

She was the best because she had lots of strength in her arms and muscles and her bones were as tough as a rock. She was  unbeatable and everyone said that she was unbeatable.

The characters in this story where Lauren,Nina, dad, the school students and mum. This story took place at Lauren’s school. I liked this story because it was about giving it a shot at different types of sports.

Should we have school uniforms?

For

We should wear school uniform because we all will look neat and tidy. We should wear school uniform because we look like we are apart of the school. We should wear school uniform because it shows what school we come from. We should wear school uniform because the uniform brings the school's name and we should treat it with respect.

We should wear uniform because some people don’t like wearing uniform. We should wear school uniform because people will think that we come from a respectful school. We should wear uniforms because when we are on a trip we won’t get lost and if you wear mufti you will get lost when you are on a trip.

We should wear uniform because people will know we come from a healthy caring sharing school. We should wear school uniforms because they will think we a from a smart school because we are wearing our school uniform. We should wear school uniform incase we are going to a music festival and they don’t know if we are actually from that school.

We should wear school uniform because a school is for studying and not showing your clothes to everyone to make and they will think that our school is a fashion show. We should wear school uniform because we look professional. We should wear school uniform because people will like you because your personality.

In my opinion we should wear school uniform because everyone knows we are representing our school and people will think we are responsible when we are out in the public. Everyone know’s we should wear school uniforms because everyone will know we have lots of knowledge  in our brain and we look brainy because we have our school uniform on.

We should wear school uniform because we look like we come from good and respectful families because they dress us up and make us look like we are respectful and we are responsible. We should wear school uniform because we are not wasting sheep wool.

We should wear school uniform because we look outstanding and beautiful and we look like we friendly and helpful. We should wear school uniform because we look like we use sportsmanship and work together to complete things.

We should wear school uniform because we show our personality to everyone and everyone will be kind to you. We should wear school uniform because if you treat them with respect they will treat you back kindly and with respect.

We should wear school because  it gives kids the sense of unity. We should wear school uniform because it shows the behavior and how they respect each and everyone. We should wear school uniform because.

We should wear school uniform because it is good for our schools. We should wear school uniform because every school has it. We should wear school uniform because we have to respect our school with treatment.

We should wear school  uniform because it gives kids opportunities to learn. We should wear school uniform because it is what we need to wear when we go to school. We should wear school uniform because everyone knows school uniform is good for you.

We should wear school uniform because it is our clothes and we should treat it with respect and treat it with responsibility. We should wear school uniform because it is what live for and what stands for the schools name.

We should wear school uniform because it is natural to the school. We should wear school uniform because if you wear normal clothes and when it is raining you will get wet. We should wear school uniform because if we go to another school they will know what school we come from.
